CNC Turret Punching
CNC turret punching uses a computer-controlled press fitted with an indexable turret of tools to quickly punch holes, slots, louvers, embossments and other repetitive features into sheet metal. Because tool changes are automated and programmed in advance, turret punching is highly efficient for parts with multiple features or higher production volumes, while still holding tight, repeatable tolerances.
At Pro-Spin, CNC turret punching works alongside our laser cutting, bending and forming capabilities to produce complete sheet metal components in-house. It's a practical complement to laser cutting for features like standard hole patterns, louvers and forming operations, helping keep production efficient and cost-effective. Turret punching is often used alongside laser cutting: punching handles repetitive standard features economically, while laser cutting is reserved for complex or one-off profiles. At Pro-Spin, both capabilities sit alongside our bending, forming, welding and finishing operations, so punched components can move directly into the next stage of production without leaving our Montréal facility.
