Cylinder & Plate Rolling
Cylinder rolling (plate rolling) passes flat sheet or plate metal through a set of rollers to progressively curve it into cylinders, cones or partial-radius sections. It's a key forming process for producing tanks, pressure vessel shells, ducting, columns and other round or curved structural components.
Rolling complements Pro-Spin's metal spinning and forming capabilities, giving customers additional options for producing large curved and cylindrical parts. As with all of our processes, rolled components can move directly into our in-house welding, machining and finishing operations to complete the part.
Rolled sections are typically welded along the seam and can move directly into Pro-Spin's in-house welding, machining and finishing operations to produce a complete, ready-to-install component.
